I don't want to know who you're voting for.
Honestly, I have been attempting to follow politics more closely ever since the last election and that, coupled with my Political Science class just makes me curious to see who actually plans on voting. I find it staggering that so many people wont vote on the grounds that they hate both candidates, so I just wondered where boardy users stood.
IMO:
I don't know how much sway voting actually has on selecting our government officials these days, so I can understand how it would be easy to get discouraged about the process. However, it seems to me that doing nothing at all is one of the ways we ended up where we are now. Politics suck, truly. However, even if you don't attend city council meetings or watch C-Span all the time, I think that it's important to take a few weeks out of your life to at least pay attention and formualte your own opinion about the people running, and then take a few extra minutes to make your voice heard. I'll tell you this. If you don't vote, you can't complain about the outcome or any of the subsequent results thereof.
If you do, I'll break your thumbs.

You forgot the option "I've _already_ voted." Early voting FTW!

Already voted here too. Hooray early voting!
It's kind of strange to think that this will be the first time in a long while that neither a Bush or Clinton will be president...strange because nearly my whole life, at least one has been in office.

I'm not an American citicen so I won't bother to vote even on this poll =P
I hate politics and wouldn't care less really, I don't really care about the elections we have here in Sweden either.
But from what I've heard/read about the candidates I'd say that it seems McCain would hate Sweden xD

I kind of agree with Sparky. I don't think anything good is going to happen anytime soon, regardless of who won, and what people believe. I didn't vote because I didn't feel like I could support either of the candidates. And I'd rather not get into a discussion of why. It's a personal decision.

Y'know, there is always an option of "None of These Candidates". Your position is what it's there for.
